The album captures the complete, uncensored concert recorded on December 1, 2025 at the Tauron Arena in Kraków, Poland as part of the Meine Welt Tour. It arrives in several formats, among them a fan box with a photo book, five vinyl variants, a CD and Blu-ray digipak, DVD, Blu-ray and a two-cassette edition.

The news was shared on September 19 by her husband, AFTER FOREVER co-founder Sander Gommans, via social media. Somerville is a singer and vocal coach who has worked with AVANTASIA, EPICA and KAMELOT, and fronts the TRILLIUM and KISKE SOMERVILLE projects.

He died on Tuesday, September 15; a cause of death has not been revealed. McCracken drummed for MAX WEBSTER from 1976 until the band dissolved in 1981, played on four studio albums and co-wrote and sang lead on the 1979 hit "A Million Vacations", and collaborated with RUSH and Neil Peart on 1980’s "Battle Scar". He later played with TRIUMPH, WRABIT and KLAATU and released a solo album, "Audioscapes", in 2000. Kim Mitchell, Lee Aaron and Geddy Lee paid tribute.

In a social media post the band said they had “made the decision to cancel all remaining shows for 2026” and apologised to fans, festivals and everyone affected. No reason was given. In August the band ended its set at the SaariHelvetti festival in Tampere, Finland after about two minutes; organisers attributed the early exit to health problems.
The Swedish band announced his death in a social media post on 15 September. Andersson, a member since 1998, died after a four-year battle with glioblastoma. Disfear previously lost founding bassist Henrik Frykman in 2011 and vocalist Tomas Lindberg.
The song is the third single from Nickelback's new album “Everything Under the Sun”, which arrives in Japan on 30 October through Universal Music Japan (Virgin Music Group). The track was already available to stream; the music video has now been released.

By the time Fox reached the studio his blood pressure was dangerously high and he was not able to play, so Sweet offered to cover the parts and ended up playing all of the guitars, solos included. The band's eighteenth studio album is due on 25 September via Frontiers Music Srl.
The 25th-anniversary run opens in Antwerp at the Lotto Arena on 24 September 2027 and closes in Lisbon at Sagres Campo Pequeno on 11 October, an exclusive run of just eleven shows across ten countries with a full orchestra and choir. The previously announced London date at the Royal Albert Hall on 6 October sold out within days. Tickets go on sale from the band's own site on 18 September at 10:00 CEST.

The sister trio from Monterrey, Mexico will play their first-ever headline stadium show at Mexico City's 65,000-capacity Estadio GNP Seguros on 5 February 2027, then take the tour across Europe, the United States and Canada through April and May, with stops including London, Berlin, Paris, Las Vegas, Toronto and New York City. General on-sale is 18 September at 10 a.m. local time.

CD 4 presents selections from all four nights at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo in April 1977 — the band's first ever performances in Japan, at the very end of the "Rock And Roll Over" tour — newly mixed from the original analog multi-track tapes by Kramer, who recorded the shows himself. The Blu-ray Audio disc carries Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes of the 1976 album by David Frangioni alongside Dolby Atmos and 5.1 mixes of Kramer's 2026 version.
The pair took the stage at TEDxFargo on July 30 at Brewhalla in Fargo, North Dakota, for a 15-minute conversation titled "Beyond Boundaries: How Human Experience Informs Art And Music", moderated by painter Robert Vargas. It marked their first public appearance together since Van Halen's final concert at the Hollywood Bowl on October 4, 2015. The entire talk has now been uploaded to YouTube.

Play videoSpeaking on the Groove - The No Treble podcast, bassist Rachel Bolan discussed the worldwide search the band launched in partnership with instrument retailer Sweetwater. He said they have watched around 300 submissions, with roughly 20 more arriving outside the campaign. "What we do is we'll get four or five people through these submissions, and, all right, send them the clean tracks, and they'll sing on top of them and send them back... Let's get a few of them together, get them into New Jersey. We'll get in a room over the course of a week or whatever, and we will just see if it works, see if it works in a live situation." He added that singing perfectly in a studio does not always transfer to the stage, and said the difference this time is that the band has "the luxury of time".
DJ and creative director Joseph Hahn, who directed the film, spoke to Mel Ramsay of BBC News about how it came together. It centres on the band's 2024 return, seven years after the death of singer Chester Bennington in 2017, and follows their reformation with Dead Sara's Emily Armstrong on vocals and Colin Brittain on drums. Filming began at the São Paulo show marking the launch of their latest album "From Zero", and the documentary carries behind-the-scenes footage, archival clips and recent performances. On the title, Hahn pointed to kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold: "The important part of it all is to not completely fix it, but have some kind of repair and not be afraid to show your scars."

Bassist Olli-Pekka Laine said on September 13: "Due to personal reasons, I will be stepping aside from touring duties for the remainder of the year." Pyry Hanski steps in for the upcoming dates, and Laine says he will rejoin early next year. The run covers the band's "Borderland Japan Tour 2026" — Shibuya Club Quattro on September 15 and 16 and Umeda Club Quattro on September 17 — followed by shows in China and Australia.
The British death metal band will issue their sixth and final studio album through Reaper Entertainment, with Megadeth's Dirk Verbeuren on drums. Russ Russell produced the record and Dan Seagrave painted the cover art. After ten years, the band say they are "bringing their remarkable studio journey to a close on their own terms".
Conception and ex-Kamelot singer Roy Khan appeared at Center Stage Theater in Atlanta on September 12 and played a set drawn entirely from his 1998-2011 run with Kamelot, ten songs including "When The Lights Are Down", "Karma", "Ghost Opera" and "March Of Mephisto". Khan also continues work on the debut solo album he first revealed in late 2024, produced by Sascha Paeth, who shaped Kamelot's "The Fourth Legacy", "Karma" and "Epica".
The German melodic death metal band announced the record with no advance warning and opened pre-orders. Fredrik Nordström mixed and mastered it at Studio Fredman and Paolo Girardi painted the cover. The band say they "took everything you loved about 'Shadowreaper' and 'The Black Stream', dialed up the intensity, and injected the raw, rock-infused late '90s spirit" of early records "Towards The Twilight" and "Thunderbeast". The album holds nine tracks.
Speaking to Pierre Gutiérrez of Rock Talks, Bell said he is finishing the recording in Los Angeles: "We have 11 songs, brand new songs. I got one more song to record — well, two more songs to finish — and then I'm gonna start shopping." None of the four solo singles he has issued since 2023 — a cover of Rammstein's "Du Hast", "Anti-Droid", "Technical Exorcism" and "Savages" — will appear, though he would like "Savages" as a bonus track. He wants label distribution and has not set a release date.
In a video message released on September 13, the Dutch guitarist said: "I'm completely healed. No damage to my organs or body parts or whatever." His management and U.S. agency Paramour Group are moving the "My Whitesnake Years" American tour, pulled in July, to next year — most likely around May and connected to a West Coast run. Before that, he says, come a festival in Malta next month, a festival in Japan after that, and a short South American tour in December.
Lou Koller, the New York hardcore band's vocalist and Pete's brother, died in July at the age of 59 after a long battle with an esophageal tumor. In a video message released on September 13, guitarist Pete Koller said: "He wanted us to keep the band going, and I'm not sure how we're gonna do that, but we're working on it." He also thanked everyone who donated to or played the benefit shows, and said the band has "some things in the works."
Asked by Czech Republic's Óčko which bands he would pick for a new young-generation "Big Four", Mustaine said: "Well, it wouldn't be a young generation, but I do believe that there are ways to do a new 'Big Four'." He named TESTAMENT, OVERKILL and EXODUS, and added TRIVIUM with a caveat: "TRIVIUM's not really a thrash metal band, so I'd have to think about that." He cited OVERKILL's importance to the East Coast metal scene, his long friendship with EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt, and the playing of TESTAMENT's Eric Peterson and Alex Skolnick.
ProgPower USA XXVI takes place September 9-11, 2027 in Atlanta, Georgia. LYNCH MOB will play a set celebrating the 40th anniversary of DOKKEN's "Back For The Attack". Also confirmed are ELUVEITIE, H.E.A.T, UNLEASH THE ARCHERS, WIND ROSE, EINAR SOLBERG, VISION DIVINE, POWER PALADIN, SILENT SKIES, ADVENT HORIZON, ROYAL SORROW and IHLO, with two Friday slots still to be announced. Tickets go on sale October 17 through Ticketmaster.
Speaking to Laughing Monkey With Shawn Ratches, guitarist Stevie Dacanay gave his first detailed account of the multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina in the early hours of August 21. The band's bus was left undrivable and the highway stayed closed until around 8 a.m. BUCKCHERRY said at the time that all members of the band and touring crew were safe and unharmed, and offered condolences to the family and friends of the person who died. Stevie also said some outlets had spun the band's involvement as bigger than it was.
Speaking to Neil Jones of U.K.'s TotalRock, Claypool said the band's global "Interstellar Drum Derby" audition drew more than 6,100 submissions, which were sorted into one- to four-star folders before 12 drummers were auditioned. "The one thing you just can't substitute, no matter how technical somebody is, how proficient they are, is chemistry," he said. John "Hoffer" Hoffman, who joined in 2025, is PRIMUS's ninth drummer and the fourth to record with the band.
The first-press limited edition is a CD+Blu-ray set (ESCL-6313~4, 7,700 yen incl. tax) and the standard edition is CD only (ESCL-6315, 3,300 yen incl. tax). The Blu-ray carries footage from the band's Zepp Haneda show on the "Moshikashite! Kotoshi Koso Japan Tour 2026". The track list has not been announced.
The album arrives on December 16. The limited edition is a CD+Blu-ray set (KICS-94273, 6,182 yen plus tax) and the standard edition is CD only (KICS-4273, 3,318 yen plus tax). Friedman also played on the first volume of the series and has performed with Moriguchi live; other guests include Masayoshi Oishi, Iyo Matsumoto, Yu Hayami, Mikio Sakai and Satoru Shionoya.
The event takes place on December 20 at CLUB CITTA' in Kawasaki. Hosted by metal journalist Masanori Ito, it features guest DJs Makoto Wada, Marty Friedman, Kenichi Suzuki (Ningen Isu) and Midori (LOVEBITES), with THE MAN and SHIBATANGE as special guests. Doors 16:00, start 17:00; all standing, 4,500 yen incl. tax in advance, with general on-sale from 10:00 on September 20.
McBrain stepped down from Iron Maiden's touring lineup in December 2024 but remains the band's drummer. Asked by Metal Hammer whether he would record again, he said: "If Iron Maiden went into the studio, I'd be delighted to get back on with them. But it'd have to be something more simple really." He cited "Stranger In A Strange Land" and "Wasted Years" from 1986's "Somewhere In Time" as the kind of song he has in mind, following the transient ischaemic attack he suffered in January 2023.
The Danish singer made a guest appearance at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on September 12. Gerard Way brought him out to perform "Mama" alongside opera singer Marianne, and the song ended with King Diamond knighting the band as flames erupted behind them. Way also told the crowd that My Chemical Romance hope to make another studio album, their first in more than 15 years.
Bach joined Twisted Sister after Dee Snider stepped down citing health challenges. Speaking to Rock 100.5 The KATT, he discussed the August 28 show at the Starland Ballroom in New Jersey, the Oregon State Fair and the September 4 Alaska State Fair, calling Alaska the best of the three on the band's biggest crowd there to date. The set also includes the Skid Row songs "I Remember You" and "Youth Gone Wild", and Bach says every song is played in its original key.
Engineers working with the City of Toronto determined that storm-damaged sections of Rogers Stadium must be removed and rebuilt, and the concert was cancelled. The official AC/DC PWR/UP Pop Up at Steam Whistle Brewing (255 Bremner Blvd, Toronto) will still run for two full days. The separate Fan Preview Night has been dropped and all sign-ups will be honoured on either day. Entry is free and the first 500 fans each day receive a gift bag.
Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Iommi revealed that Andrew Watt — producer of Ozzy Osbourne's final two solo albums — approached him in the early 2020s about a follow-up to 2013's “13” with Black Sabbath's original lineup. “He was very keen and a bit too excited,” Iommi said. “He also didn't know what it was like working with the original Sabbath, working with Bill.”
In an interview with Zoe Ball on the U.K.'s Greatest Hits Radio, the Queen guitarist confirmed he features as a guest on 95-year-old William Shatner's metal album and said Tony Iommi appears on it too. May, who worked on his track remotely, said he insisted on meeting Shatner so he could play it to him in person.
In a statement the band said Längqvist faced a medical emergency on Thursday morning after returning home from a show in Belgium and was rushed to hospital, where he remains while doctors carry out further tests. Rather than cancel, Candlemass announced that a special guest vocalist would perform songs from “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus” and “Nightfall” at the September 12 London show.
Following an underplay show in Atlanta, Baizley will tour alongside Mastodon this fall to help play some of the band's classics.
Speaking on SiriusXM's “Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk” on September 9, six years after he and drummer Steve Smith left Journey following a legal dispute with Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain, Valory said: “We made what I think is a very reasonable settlement, and everyone moved on with their lives... I'm no longer a part of the organization or the brand, so my position now, at best, is a casual observer.”
On September 10 at the Historische Stadthalle in Wuppertal, Germany, Pesch joined Dirkschneider — the band fronted by former Accept singer Udo Dirkschneider — for two songs: Judas Priest's “Breaking The Law” and Accept's “Winter Dreams”. The pair had already recorded a studio version of “Winter Dreams” for 2025's “Balls To The Wall - Reloaded”.

According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the suit was filed in Fulton County Court on September 3 and claims the late guitarist had never been bought out of his share of MASTODON and its related businesses before his death. The estate also accuses the band of using Hinds's likeness after his death to promote its recently released album “Marrow Deep”. On September 11 the surviving members said via social media that “a private business dispute with the estate of our dear departed friend Brent Hinds was made public”, and that they believe the claim is meritless and intend to defend it vigorously.
Bleecker Street's event cinema division Crosswalk has acquired the North American rights to the first-ever authorized feature-length documentary on the band, a complete and all-access account of its journey from the U.K. to a global fandom. It was directed by Jeff Feuerzeig (“The Devil And Daniel Johnston”, “Author: The JT LeRoy Story”), who produced it alongside Alice Rhodes and Sam Bridger for VICE Studios, Nicholas Ferrall and Jeanne Elfant Festa of White Horse Pictures, Danny Gabai of The Searchers Documentary Films and Brian T. Nugent of Sobey Road Entertainment. The film was made in close collaboration with the band.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the million-selling compilation arrives worldwide on November 27. The 180g one-step pressing double transparent light brown etched vinyl comes in a gatefold sleeve with new liner notes, limited and numbered to 3,000 copies, with a silent Side D carrying an etching based on original sketch designs by guitarist Paul Gilbert. The SACD hybrid multi-channel edition includes new 5.1 mixes of “Wild World”, “Colorado Bulldog”, “Promise Her The Moon”, “Nothing But Love” and “Seven Impossible Days”. The MQA-CD+CD set adds live material from the ten years leading up to the compilation, including hard-to-find and previously unreleased performances of “Addicted To That Rush” and “Green-Tinted Sixties Mind”.
The 2000 album, recorded with founding guitarist Timo Tolkki, was deliberately left un-remastered for the reissue because the original master still sounds excellent. It is presented as a 2LP 180g gold vinyl edition in a gatefold sleeve with gold foil, an eight-page booklet and three bonus tracks, and is out on October 2.

The band announced that tickets are now on sale for two nights at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans on November 20 and 21. The bill also features DOWN, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, POWER TRIP, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, CROWBAR, PIG DESTROYER, EYEHATEGOD, Rāde and Herakleion.
The clip is the first footage made available from the collaboration shows, which played to sold-out crowds at Planet Hollywood's Criss Angel Theatre earlier this year. Cooper also revealed that Nita Strauss will rejoin his band for the upcoming Las Vegas dates on November 27-28 and December 4-5. Speaking to the California Post, Mustaine said radiation-related cognitive impairment left him struggling while working on 2022's “The Sick, the Dying... and the Dead!” after his throat cancer diagnosis in the summer of 2019, and that radiation damage has left his teeth breaking and needing to be replaced. His memoir “In My Darkest Hour”, written with Joe Layden, details his fight against stage-three squamous cell carcinoma and is released in the UK through Constable on September 24.
The band played the last date of the Forever Tour at London's Wembley Stadium on September 9. The run marked Jon Bon Jovi's full return to touring after major vocal cord surgery in 2022: nine shows at New York's Madison Square Garden from July 7, then Edinburgh and Dublin, and three sold-out nights at Wembley on September 4, 6 and 9. From the stage on the final night, Jon said he is already planning next year's tour and that bookings are under way.
Due on October 30 via BMG, the box set includes remastered versions of the 1981 Leathür Records 10-track release and the 1982 Elektra 9-track release, live recordings from the 1982 Perkins Palace shows (2LP), a 1LP of demos from the band's first studio session in March 1981, a 100-page hardcover photo book, and replicas of the original demo cassette and 7-inch single. Standard editions will be available on CD and LP, and the Leathür Records version comes to streaming services for the first time. The previously unreleased March 1981 demo “Nobody Knows What It's Like To Be Lonely” is out now.

Ellefson was eventually legally cleared of any wrongdoing but was let go, and his recorded parts on “The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!” were removed. Mustaine also writes that the two were never on equal footing when it came to Megadeth, and that this was always a source of friction.
Recorded at Hollywood's Whisky A Go-Go on December 29, 2025, the live album mixes band favourites such as “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle” from the 1989 debut with covers including “Eleanor Rigby”, “Jet” and “Live And Let Die”. It is available on CD, vinyl and digital, with some songs on the CD only. The band's cover of THE BEATLES' “Magical Mystery Tour” is streaming now. No release date was given.

The album's title and release date were not given.

The blackened rap metal band's debut album “Anomaly” was released last Friday via Metal Blade. Guitarist/vocalist Jakob Lærke Harris describes the song as an attempt to combine a nasty riff with upbeat synths, rap and screams to keep people moving at their shows.

Speaking to Frank Godla of Metal Injection, King Diamond said a new MERCYFUL FATE album is planned for 2027 and a KING DIAMOND album for 2028, describing the MERCYFUL FATE record as sounding “classic, old-fashioned, but modern and clear”. He also revealed that an official documentary about his life has been filming for three years. It is directed by Danish filmmaker Frederik Brun Madsen, written by Peter Engel and produced by UpNorth Film AS in co-production with Wingman Media. The film traces his career from his early bands BRAINSTORM (1976) and BLACK ROSE (1978-1980) to the present day and includes rare live footage from the late 1970s. It is backed by the Danish Film Institute and is planned for the festival circuit.
In an interview with Italy's TrueMetal.it, transcribed by Blabbermouth, the pair addressed the absence of founding bassist Jim Sheppard from the reunion line-up of Jeff Loomis (guitar), Van Williams (drums), Jack Cattoi (guitar), Semir Özerkan (bass) and Berzan Önen (vocals). Williams said that “sometimes, for the sake of a fresh start, it's necessary to move on from relationships” that were not conducive to growth, citing years without communication and irreconcilable differences. In a statement posted on his official site on 8 September, the Estate of John Sykes says it has not approved or authorised the forthcoming Golden Robot Records release and was not involved in the decision to release it. The Estate adds that it has no knowledge of a recording titled “One Way”, is seeking confirmation that the music being released is entirely an original John Sykes recording, and wants assurance that no AI-generated or AI-recreated elements representing his voice, playing, composition or performance have been incorporated. It says the label advised on 18 June that it would respond in due course.

Genesis Publications has revealed that the seven-inch picture disc accompanying Alex Van Halen's signed limited-edition book “Van Halen”, restricted to 1,500 numbered copies worldwide, will feature “Glitter”, a demo recorded in 1974. Featuring Alex and Eddie Van Halen alongside David Lee Roth and original bassist Mark Stone, it will be the earliest VAN HALEN recording ever officially released.
Golden Robot Records will release “One Way”, a posthumous EP from the late English guitarist John Sykes (TYGERS OF PAN TANG, THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, BLUE MURDER, SYKES), on 6 November. Featuring some of his final known recordings, it follows the singles “My Guitar” and “Believe In Yourself” and is available to pre-save across streaming platforms.

The U.S. metalcore band have finished recording their ninth studio album, tentatively due in early 2027 via Napalm Records as the follow-up to 2024's “Through Storms Ahead”. Two songs being considered for the record, “Polarized” and “Retribution”, arrive on Tuesday 15 September.

Billed on the band's official schedule as the “1st EP (title TBA) RELEASE TOUR”, the run takes in SHIBUYA O-Crest on 8 January 2027, Umeda Zeela on 17 January, Sakae R・A・D on 23 February and SHIBUYA Eggman on 27 March as the tour final.
