Zilqy in Tokyo on November 4, Maki Oyama in Osaka on November 5: The Opening Acts for Erik Grönwall's First Headline Shows in Japan

Swedish singer Erik Grönwall's first headline shows in Japan, the BAD BONES JAPAN TOUR 2026 in Tokyo and Osaka in November, now have their opening acts. Udo Artists, who are bringing him over, announced on October 8 that Zilqy will open the Tokyo show at The Garden Hall in Ebisu on Wednesday, November 4, and Maki Oyama the Osaka show at UMEDA CLUB QUATTRO on Thursday, November 5. Zilqy bassist Miho appears in the video for "Bad Bones", the title track of his new album, released in May. Zilqy themselves released their first full-length album, Birth of Riot, on October 7, and it entered Oricon's daily album chart dated October 6 at No. 10.

Opening acts at 19:00, Erik Grönwall at 19:45 on both nights

The Tokyo show is at The Garden Hall in Ebisu on Wednesday, November 4, and the Osaka show at UMEDA CLUB QUATTRO on Thursday, November 5. Doors open at 18:00 on both nights; the opening act — Zilqy in Tokyo, Maki Oyama in Osaka — plays from 19:00, and Erik Grönwall takes the stage at 19:45.

Tickets for both shows are standing, 9,500 yen including tax, with numbered entry and a drink charge paid at the door. They are on sale through Udo Members, Ticket Pia, eplus, Lawson Ticket and Worldwide Ticket Reservation, and children under six (preschool age) are not admitted.

Udo Artists has been building up to the shows. In July it collected fans' questions for Erik Grönwall, and in August the songs they would like him to sing: he will sing the ones chosen, though whether at the shows or on social media has not been said. On August 21 it published the first half of a special interview in which he talks about shooting the videos for Bad Bones, the set list he is planning for Japan and stories from his time on Michael Schenker's tour.

Tokyo: Zilqy, whose Birth of Riot entered the daily chart at No. 10

Zilqy, who open in Tokyo, are Anna (vocals), Toki (guitar), Miho (bass) and Kano (drums). Udo Artists introduces them as a modern metal band flying the banner of a "Global All-Female Metal Band" from Japan, with Toki formerly of ALDIOUS and Miho formerly of LOVEBITES. According to Udo, Miho is a close friend of Erik Grönwall's and appears in the video for "Bad Bones", which can be watched on this site's Bad Bones album page.

The band released their first full-length album, Birth of Riot, on October 7. It entered Oricon's daily album chart dated October 6, the day before its release, at No. 10, and Toki shared the result on X with thanks to the fans.

The Tokyo show falls between dates of Zilqy's own Birth of Riot tour, which runs from Kashiwa PALOOZA in Chiba on October 11 to Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) on Wednesday, December 16.

Osaka: Maki Oyama, from Acometal to her first European tour

Udo Artists introduces Maki Oyama, who opens in Osaka, as a "female rock and metal singer Japan can be proud of". Her Acometal series, begun in 2017, recast heavy metal classics in acoustic arrangements and caught on through YouTube, where its videos have passed 22 million plays in all; in 2018 she followed it with the covers album Acometal.

From 2021 she spent about three years on ALDIOUS's Japan tours as a guest vocalist. Her second album, Valkyrie (2023), reached No. 3 on Oricon's weekly indie album chart, and her third, I AM, followed in 2025. In 2026 her first European tour took her to convention events and clubs in Germany, France, Italy, Austria and the Netherlands, and according to her official site she is now on the MAKI OYAMA TOUR 2026 THE REMAINS.

After H.E.A.T and SKID ROW, his first shows in Japan under his own name

Erik Grönwall won Sweden's Idol in 2009 and sang for H.E.A.T from 2010 to 2020, which brought him to Japan: on February 16, 2018 he fronted the band at Club Quattro in Shibuya, Tokyo.

In 2021 he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant, and in 2022 he joined SKID ROW. The band's Japan dates in spring 2023 were called off because of his continuing flu-like symptoms, and he left SKID ROW in spring 2024 to put his health first without having sung in Japan with them.

In January 2026 he was the singer on Michael Schenker's My Years With UFO tour of Japan and stood on the stage of a packed Nippon Budokan on January 28. On May 22 his solo album Bad Bones — the first, as Udo Artists puts it, made up of his own original songs — came out worldwide, with his old H.E.A.T bandmate Jona Tee among its makers. These two nights, named after the album, are his first headline shows in Japan as a solo artist. Videos for "Bad Bones", "Born to Break", "Praying for a Miracle" and "Who's the Winner" are on this site's Bad Bones album page.
