LOVEBITES Will Take 2027 Off From Live Performances — New Music Continues, and the Stage Returns in 2028

· METAL BOOST Editorial

LOVEBITES announced at 18:00 on October 9, through their label Victor Entertainment, that they will take all of 2027 away from live performances. The message, issued in Japanese and English, is clear that the band itself is not going on hold: work on new songs continues, each member stays active with individual projects, the band keeps in touch through social media, and releases are planned for the fans. Live performances return in 2028, which the band says it means to approach with even greater intensity than before.

Only the shows stop; the band does not

The announcement, titled "A Message From LOVEBITES", was posted on the band's page at Victor Entertainment as a pair of statements in Japanese and English. Its core is a distinction: there will be no live performances in 2027, but that does not mean the band's activities are on hold.

The statement names three things that carry on: work on new LOVEBITES songs, each member's individual projects and activities, and the band's social media channels. It adds that releases and other projects are planned that the band hopes fans will enjoy. As for the stage, the band says it looks forward to sharing live performances with fans around the world again in 2028.

A tenth-anniversary 2026: the album, the Budokan and Wacken

Before turning to the break, the statement looks back on 2026. LOVEBITES formed in Tokyo in 2016, so 2026 was their tenth anniversary, and the band lists what it achieved: the release of the album OUTSTANDING POWER, tours across Japan and overseas including Wacken Open Air in Germany, and, above all, a long-held dream realised in a show at the Nippon Budokan.

OUTSTANDING POWER came out on February 18, 2026. The band's first Nippon Budokan show, LIVE AT BUDOKAN, took place in Tokyo on March 29, 2026, after Victor announced it on March 13, 2025. The Wacken Open Air 2026 appearance was announced on March 11, 2026, and became part of the OUTSTANDING TOUR - EU/UK 2026.

At home the band played LOVEBITES - OUTSTANDING TOUR - JAPAN 2026, from Zepp Fukuoka on August 29 to Zepp Haneda (Tokyo) on September 26, and from October 2 to 4 it had just completed OUTSTANDING TOUR - SEA 2026 in Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

2026 still has a stage left

The break is 2027; 2026 still has a date on it. On October 24 LOVEBITES play the first day of FULL METAL JAPAN 2026 POWERED BY WACKEN at Pia Arena MM, on a bill that day with Michael Schenker Group, Stratovarius and Vandenberg among others.

The members' own work

The members' individual activities the statement mentions already have dates attached. Fami. plays a release show for her solo EP Hakoniwa at Shibuya Stream Hall on October 31. Midori appears at an event at Club Citta' on December 20. Miyako is cast in the stage production WORLD ENDER ~fate of W/B~.
