Legends of AVALON Returns To Kawasaki On March 22, 2027 — FROZEN CROWN, HAGANE And The Lethal Weapons Headline

Avalon, the label of Marquee Inc., stages the third event of its 30th-anniversary project — MARQUEE AVALON 30th Anniversary Vol.3, Legends of AVALON — at CLUB CITTA' in Kawasaki on March 22, 2027, a public holiday. It is the second Legends of AVALON, after the first at the same venue in March 2025, and the full bill and ticket details were set out on October 1. FROZEN CROWN, HAGANE and The Lethal Weapons headline; Finland's MOONLIGHT SORCERY make their first visit to Japan for it; PARAMENA and MONOCHROME CINDERELLA open. Two days earlier, on March 20, FROZEN CROWN play a show of their own at SHINSAIBASHI SUNHALL in Osaka.

March 22 at CLUB CITTA' — three headliners

Doors open at 14:00 and the show starts at 15:00. Marquee describes the day as a six-act festival: three headliners plus opening acts. Avalon was set up in 1997 for LANA LANE and turns thirty in 2027. The first Legends of AVALON, on March 22, 2025, featured SONATA ARCTICA, Unlucky Morpheus and MARTY FRIEDMAN, with Phantom Excaliver and Anju Tachibana opening. The second falls on the same date, at the same club.

FROZEN CROWN are the Italian power metal band led by Federico Mondelli, a six-piece of men and women with three guitarists, and Marquee counts them as Avalon's flagship act. According to the label's artist page they played their second headline visit to Japan in 2023. This time they come with the new album The Legend Of The Six Kings, released in Japan on September 30, and Marquee promises the biggest stage the six-piece have played yet.

HAGANE release the new album Through the Night on December 2 and tour it from December 12 through to Zepp DiverCity (TOKYO) on February 19, 2027, fifteen dates in all. Their European Tour Part 1 is due to open at EPIC FEST in Roskilde, Denmark, on April 9, so March 22 sits between the two. Marquee bills the pairing as a melodic speed metal showdown between HAGANE and FROZEN CROWN.

The Lethal Weapons are a rock duo, Ai-kid and the American-born Cyborg Joe, who started out in January 2019. Their songs borrow from the pop, synthwave and other sounds of the 1980s and 1990s. Marquee singles out shows that pull the whole audience in with shouts, chants and call and response, and says the pair, who had kept away from festivals and outside events for a long time, take a headline slot here because of their close ties to Avalon.

MOONLIGHT SORCERY's first Japanese show, with PARAMENA and MONOCHROME CINDERELLA opening

MOONLIGHT SORCERY are a melodic death and black metal band from Tampere, Finland. They put out the EP Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity on Bandcamp in February 2022, and Avalon later issued a Japan-only edition of it with four new songs added. Their first album, Horned Lord of the Thorned Castle, was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö, known from Edge of Sanity.

Marquee says the trio led by Loitsumestari Taikakallo will play in Japan for the first time as a six-piece, and that bringing them to Legends of AVALON is an idea the label has had since their first EP came out. It also points out that CLUB CITTA' is where CHILDREN OF BODOM played their first Japanese show.

Opening the day, PARAMENA are a 30-string extreme metal band that started in March 2023. Their official profile says they won Metal Battle Japan in 2024, went on to play Wacken Open Air in Germany, and signed to Avalon in October 2025; Marquee introduces them as a band with a new album on the way. MONOCHROME CINDERELLA, the other opener, are a melodic metal band newly joining Avalon.
