Ozzfest Returns In 2027 To The UK And US — Villa Park, Ozzy's Final Stage

On September 22, an official Ozzfest teaser announced that “Ozzfest will come to the UK and US,” setting the 2027 revival in motion. The UK show will be held at Villa Park in Birmingham — the ground where Ozzy Osbourne played his final show, Back To The Beginning, on July 5, 2025. Dates, headliners and the US venue all remain unannounced.

The past two months

The revival has taken shape gradually since the summer. On August 2, Sharon Osbourne told the UK's Metal Hammer that talks with performers were underway, that an official announcement was near, and confirmed that a Back To The Beginning film was happening; she added that whether Birmingham gets two nights is up to how fans respond. On August 17, the festival named Villa Park as the venue via its official Instagram. On August 19, Jack Osbourne said on SiriusXM that the 2027 edition would be a single day rather than a multi-day festival, and that the headliner would be announced “in the next couple of weeks.” The September 22 teaser follows all of this with the reveal of where it lands: the UK and the US.

What's confirmed

Three things are set: (1) editions in the UK and the US, (2) Villa Park as the UK venue, and (3) a one-day scale. Still unannounced are the dates, the lineup including any headliner, the US venue and ticket details. Jack has acknowledged that booking major acts has become harder, and Ozzfest's tradition of giving unsigned newcomers a stage is expected to continue. Sharon has also floated expanding into a touring format from 2028 onward.

Ozzy's legacy

Villa Park is not just a large venue. Back To The Beginning, held there, was Ozzy Osbourne's final show, and Birmingham is his hometown. Its concert film, “Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning,” opens worldwide on October 28 (produced by Mercury Studios, distributed by Trafalgar Releasing). Placing the 2027 Ozzfest on the same ground reads as a return to the festival's origin — to Ozzy himself.
