From the Dark

From the Dark is a solo album by Tony Iommi, guitarist of Black Sabbath. BMG releases it worldwide on 23 October 2026, and Universal Music Japan follows two weeks later, on 6 November, with an SHM-CD in a cardboard sleeve (UICB-15025) that carries liner notes, lyrics and translations. It was announced on 29 July 2026, when the first single, "World Alone", premiered at a global streaming event in Iommi's home city of Birmingham. The eight songs feature the Norwegian singer Jorn Lande throughout, and Lande shares the writing credit on every one of them; Becky Baldwin plays bass and Karl Brazil drums. Iommi co-produced the record with Mike Exeter, his creative partner of many years. It is Iommi's first solo album since Fused in 2005 and his first full-length record of any kind since 13, Black Sabbath's last studio album, in 2013. It also arrives about a year after Black Sabbath's final concert, Back To The Beginning, in Birmingham in 2025. "World Alone" also came out on 4 September as a limited seven-inch single with an instrumental version on the B-side. Abroad, the album is issued as a double LP, as an Amazon-exclusive CD in the same die-cut sleeve, and as a 32-page deluxe CD media book that adds two bonus tracks, "Scent Of Dark" and "Deified (extended version)". The Japanese edition has the eight album tracks, and its Amazon.co.jp exclusive comes with a mega-jacket.
