Shogun Mojo is the band KISS guitarist Tommy Thayer has formed with Dan Reed, the singer of Dan Reed Network, and this is their self-titled debut. Frontiers Music Srl announced the signing on 15 July 2026, and on 25 August it announced the album together with the first single, "Under The Gun", whose lyrics Reed ties to a world turning more divided, angrier and more afraid. The four members recorded the album playing together in one room, with Geoff Tyson co-producing and engineering and Rob Daiker mixing. Thayer, who joined KISS in 2002, says he and Reed go back a long way; the songs started with the two of them writing together, and Reed says each one carries a Thayer guitar solo. Bassist Bengt Jonasson and drummer Robert Ikiz complete the line-up, and Reed has played rock trio shows with the pair for more than fifteen years. Brion James of Dan Reed Network is a co-writer on "Funk Party". Frontiers has announced 6 November 2026 for the ten-song CD (FRCD1603) and LP (FRLP1603). Avalon / Marquee Inc. puts out the Japanese CD, MICP-12052, on the same day, with a remix of "Star Rider" as an eleventh track.
