The Sickness in full and the hits — the pairing of the 2025 anniversary tour

The Sickness, the band's debut album, was released on March 7, 2000 and holds twelve songs, among them "Voices", "The Game", "Stupify" and "Down With The Sickness". It peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 but stayed on the chart for 106 weeks in all, and the RIAA has certified it five times platinum; "Down With The Sickness" is eight times platinum, "Stupify" twice platinum, and "Voices" and "The Game" gold.

In 2025 the band marked the album's 25th anniversary with The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour. The 34 North American dates, produced by Live Nation, opened in Nampa, Idaho on February 25, and every night came in two sets: The Sickness in full, then a set of greatest hits. The European leg, from Royal Arena in Copenhagen on September 28 to OVO Hydro in Glasgow on October 28, took the same two-set form with MEGADETH in support. The Japan show pairs the full album with the greatest hits in the same way.

In January 2025 the band also announced a 25th anniversary edition of the album, released on March 7, 2025. The limited box set adds B-sides, unreleased demos and an unreleased 14-song concert recorded at the Palladium in Los Angeles on April 18, 2001 to the original album, and there is a two-CD deluxe edition as well.

In Japan: KNOTFEST JAPAN 2016, and a first headline show in 24 years

In Japan the band played the first day of KNOTFEST JAPAN 2016, the festival hosted by SLIPKNOT, on November 5, 2016 in Halls 9 to 11 of Makuhari Messe, on the same day as DEFTONES. Warner Music Japan announced that appearance as the band's first visit to Japan in 13 years. The promoter says May 19 will be their first headline show in Japan in 24 years.

According to Live Nation Japan's profile, the band formed in Chicago in 1996. Four albums in a row, from their second, Believe (2002), to Asylum (2010), went to No. 1 in the US, and in 2011 the band went on indefinite hiatus. They announced their return in June 2015, and Immortalized, released on August 21 that year, also reached No. 1, making five consecutive albums that debuted at the top of the US chart. Its cover of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" has been certified platinum. The promoter puts the band's album sales at more than 17 million and their streams at about 14 billion.

The line-up is David Draiman (vocals), Dan Donegan (guitar), John Moyer (bass) and Mike Wengren (drums).
