The Forever Tour after four years off the road — the first visit since 2018, and Tokyo Dome since 1988
Udo Artists' biography of BON JOVI puts the band's last Japan visit in 2018, on the This House Is Not For Sale Tour, with shows at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi then suffered a serious decline in his vocal cords and decided on surgery in 2022. After rehabilitation and voice training, the band released Forever, their 16th album, in 2024, their 40th year.
According to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, the band returned to the stage after four years off the road on July 7, 2026, opening the Forever Tour with the first of nine shows at New York's Madison Square Garden, and went on to three nights at London's Wembley Stadium and stadium shows in Edinburgh and Dublin. On October 19, US time, they announced 2027 dates: Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on March 4 and Accor Stadium in Sydney on March 11, BST Hyde Park in London on June 24, and four North American stadiums in July and August, in East Rutherford, Chicago, Foxborough and Toronto. The two Australian shows come the week after Tokyo Dome.
The band first played Tokyo Dome at the New Year's Eve show FINAL COUNT DOWN on December 31, 1988. According to Udo Artists, these two shows make BON JOVI the only international act to have played Tokyo Dome in every decade from the 1980s to the 2020s. Their first visit to Japan was Super Rock '84 in Japan in 1984, and their second album, 7800° Fahrenheit (1985), includes "Tokyo Road".
