Marrow Deep

Marrow Deep arrives on August 28, 2026 through Loma Vista Recordings, the label Mastodon signed to after twenty years on Reprise. It follows Hushed and Grim from 2021, and was announced on July 13, 2026. The announcement describes the record as inspired by the Three Fates of Greek mythology. The band co-produced the album at its own West End Sound studio in Atlanta with Patrik Berger and Kurt Ballou, and Andrew Scheps mixed it. Advance track "Your Ghost Again" appeared on June 2, 2026. "Snakes for Dinner" carries a guest vocal by Josh Homme, his first on a Mastodon recording since "Colony of Birchmen" on 2006's Blood Mountain. Troy Sanders told Bass Player that a solo Geezer Butler sent back became the introduction to "The Vanishing". The Poisonous Weapons Tour opens in North America on September 16 with Deafheaven and Alcest.
