BS Nippon TV Repeats Its FULL METAL JAPAN Special On October 10

BS Nippon TV is repeating the special it aired in August to introduce FULL METAL JAPAN 2026. The 54-minute programme goes out nationwide at 22:00 on Saturday, October 10, exactly two weeks before the festival opens on October 24. The festival's own site announced the repeat on September 26, and BURRN! ONLINE reported it on October 2.

The repeat: 22:00 on Saturday, October 10, on BS Nippon TV

The programme airs from 22:00 to 22:54 on Saturday, October 10, 2026, on BS Nippon TV's nationwide channel. It was first broadcast in August, and the festival's site recommends the repeat to anyone who missed it and anyone who wants to prepare just before the festival.

Two hosts present it — one billed as a lifelong metalhead, the other a freelance announcer — and two writers explain the music: one who has been going to Wacken Open Air and reporting from it since 2001, and one who has spread his love of metal on the radio and in print. LOUDNESS singer Minoru Niihara appears in an interview, and LOVEBITES with a message.

What is in it — metal history, Wacken, and the festival in four keywords

The programme traces more than half a century of heavy metal history and carries a report from Wacken Open Air, the festival it calls metal's holy ground, with stories from the writer who has been going there for years.

Its FULL METAL JAPAN 2026 segment explains the line-up and the highlights through four keywords: POWERWOLF's first visit to Japan, old and new ANGRA members reuniting, Michael Schenker, and LOUDNESS and LOVEBITES, presented as acts that have played Wacken Open Air and lead Japan's metal scene — with music videos and live footage.

The festival: October 24 and 25 at Pia Arena MM

FULL METAL JAPAN 2026 ~Powered by WACKEN~ is held for the first time on Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, with doors at 12:00 and a 13:00 start on both days. October 24 brings MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, STRATOVARIUS, LOVEBITES, VANDENBERG and Gus G. & RONNIE ROMERO; October 25 brings POWERWOLF, ANGRA (featuring KIKO LOUREIRO & EDU FALASCHI), LOUDNESS, PRETTY MAIDS and HIBRIA (featuring Iuri Sanson & Renato Osorio).
