『We've Come for You All』は、ANTHRAXが、鋭いリフ、跳ねるリズム、そして、ジョン・ブッシュの力強い歌を使い、スラッシュ・メタルの、確かな核を、より現代的な硬さで、力強く鳴らした第9作だ。前作までのモダンな実験を経て、バンド本来の、攻撃性と、覚えやすいフックとを、見事に両立させている。速い曲であっても、そのコーラスの、確かなフックを、決して失うことなく、バンドならではの、遊び心も、随所に、しっかりと残されている。 冒頭“Contact”から“What Doesn't Die”へと至る展開、そして、感動的なバラード“Safe Home”まで、収録曲は、いずれも聴き応えがある。“Refuse to Be Denied”の攻撃性、“Superhero”“Any Place but Here”のような曲も、作品の充実を伝えている。ダイムバッグ・ダレルらが客演するなど、豪華なゲスト陣も光る。重厚さと、軽快さとが同居することで、作品には、多彩で豊かな表情が生まれている。 長年の、豊富な経験を、新しい音像へと、見事に接続してみせた、勢いのある、確かな再確認の一枚だ。ジョン・ブッシュが、レギュラーで参加した、最後のスタジオ・アルバムの一つでもある。この後、看板であったベラドナが、劇的にバンドへと復帰することになる。ANTHRAXの、円熟した攻撃性を示した、力強く聴き応えのある充実作と言える。バンドの実力が光る一枚だ。

We've Come for You All is the ninth album on which Anthrax, using sharp riffs, bouncing rhythm and John Bush’s powerful singing, powerfully sounds thrash metal’s sure core with a more modern hardness. After the modern experiments of the previous works, it beautifully unites the band’s native aggression and memorable hooks. Even in fast songs, without losing the sure hooks of the choruses, the band’s own playfulness is also firmly kept in places. From the development from the opener “Contact” to “What Doesn’t Die” and the moving ballad “Safe Home,” every song is engaging, while the aggression of “Refuse to Be Denied” and cuts like “Superhero” and “Any Place but Here” convey the work’s fullness. Its gorgeous guest lineup also shines, such as Dimebag Darrell appearing. By weight and lightness coexisting, the work gains varied, rich expression. A momentum-filled, sure reaffirmation that beautifully connected long, rich experience to a new sound. Also one of the last studio albums John Bush regularly participated in. After this, the flagship Belladonna would dramatically return to the band. A powerful, engaging, fulfilling work showing Anthrax’s mature aggression — a record where the band’s ability shines.
