No More Tears is the sixth album on which Ozzy Osbourne, backed by Zakk Wylde, reached the commercial peak of his career, and one of the defining heavy-rock records of the 1990s. Alongside Wylde’s weighty guitar, Randy Castillo’s drums and John Sinclair’s keyboards, the album is notable for Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister co-writing lyrics on several songs. Certified quadruple platinum in the US, it is a major work announcing a mature period where polished production and strong songs came together. The warm ballad “Mama, I’m Coming Home,” with lyrics by Lemmy, became a big hit that reached the US Top 40 under Ozzy’s own name. The title track “No More Tears,” running past seven minutes, makes a strong impression with its tense development, while a live recording of “I Don’t Want to Change the World” later won a Grammy.
