『Bucchigiri Tokyo』は、世界へ活動範囲を広げたHANABIE.が、出発点である東京と日本のサブカルチャーを改めて前面へ掲げたメジャー初EPである。タイトル曲はパンク由来の直線的なリフと跳ねるビートで街の速度を表現し、短い展開の中へシャウト、合唱、ブレイクダウンを畳み込む。“Metamorphose!”は変身ヒロインの高揚を電子音と重い刻みで描き、かわいさと強さを対立させず、同じエネルギーとして爆発させる。 “OTAKU Lovely Densetsu”ではファン文化への愛情をEDM的なサンプルと極端な転調で祝福し、“GAMBLER”は危うい選択をタイトなリズムと妖しいメロディへ変換する。“Ito Okashi My Type”は古語を思わせる語感と現代的な恋愛観を接続し、Matsuriのクリーン歌唱がYukinaの咆哮を鮮やかに照らす。最後の“Bonus Guilty Time”は遊び心のある掛け合いを通じて、4人のキャラクターそのものを作品の一部にする。Hettsuのベースは細かな電子音の下でも輪郭を失わず、Chikaのドラムは目まぐるしい構成をライブの推進力へ変える。六曲はコンパクトだが、東京、ファッション、アニメ、オタク、恋愛という要素が単なる引用に終わらず、バンドの体験として鳴っている。原点回帰と世界進出後の成長を同時に示した作品だ。

Bucchigiri Tokyo is HANABIE.’s first major-label EP and a deliberate return to the city and subcultures that shaped the band. The title track translates Tokyo speed into a direct punk-informed riff, spring-loaded rhythm, gang vocals and a sharply timed breakdown. “Metamorphose!” treats transformation-heroine excitement as a natural meeting point for bright electronic sound and crushing guitar, refusing to frame cuteness and strength as opposites. “OTAKU Lovely Densetsu” celebrates fan culture through EDM samples, rapid stylistic turns and an oversized chorus. “GAMBLER” converts risky choices into a tense groove and a more shadowed melodic atmosphere. “Ito Okashi My Type” connects language that evokes classical Japan with contemporary ideas of attraction, allowing Matsuri’s clean voice to illuminate Yukina’s harsh delivery. “Bonus Guilty Time” closes the record through playful exchanges that make the four members’ personalities part of the arrangement itself. Hettsu’s bass remains clearly defined beneath the digital layers, while Chika turns the constantly changing structures into physical live momentum. The six tracks are concise, yet their references to Tokyo, fashion, anime, otaku identity and romance never feel pasted on. They sound lived-in. By combining a renewed focus on home with the scale and discipline gained through global touring, Bucchigiri Tokyo presents both a return to roots and a decisive step forward.
