『Forbidden Fruit -1st piece-』は、East Of Edenが掲げた「既存のジャンルや属性を越える」という構想を、最初の5曲で具体的な音へ変えたデビューEPである。“Evolve [Album Version]”は、Ayasaのバイオリンをクラシカルな飾りに閉じ込めず、ヘヴィなギター・リフと並ぶ主旋律／攻撃音として提示する。湊あかねのヴォーカルは高い出力を保ちながら言葉を明瞭に届け、Yuki、MIZUKI、当時のベースによるリズムの厚みが楽曲を大きな舞台へ押し上げる。 “This Moment”は現在をつかむ意志をキャッチーなサビへ変え、“螺旋回廊”は旋回するフレーズとドラマティックな展開でバンドの技巧を見せる。“無重力飛行”では浮遊感と推進力が同居し、楽器同士が密集してもメロディの輪郭を失わない。終曲“花美”は華やかさの中へ和の情緒と余韻を残し、単なる技巧派ユニットではない歌心を示す。各人が既に別の現場で培った経験を持つため、初作でありながら演奏の完成度は高い。しかし本作の魅力は完璧さだけではなく、異なる個性がぶつかりながら新しい編成の可能性を試す熱にある。バイオリンを中心とする女性ロック・バンドという第一印象を超え、音楽そのものの強度でEast Of Edenの入口を作った鮮烈な作品だ。

Akane Minato delivers clear words at high intensity, while Yuki, MIZUKI and the original bass line-up give the music enough weight for a large stage. “This Moment” converts the decision to seize the present into an immediate chorus. “螺旋回廊” uses circling phrases and dramatic transitions to display the band’s technique, while “無重力飛行” holds floating atmosphere and forward motion together without losing melodic definition inside the dense arrangement. The closing “花美” adds Japanese emotional color and afterglow, revealing songwriting instinct beyond instrumental display. Because every member arrived with experience from other musical settings, the performance level is unusually high for a first release. Yet the appeal is not polish alone; it is the audible heat of distinct personalities testing what this new line-up can become.
