『high $pec』は、DOLL$BOXXが5年ぶりに放った復活作であり、デビュー時の華やかさを保ちながら、演奏の重心と攻撃性を明確に引き上げた5曲入りミニアルバムである。冒頭の“Shout Down”は、切れ味鋭いギター、うねるベース、細かく表情を変えるドラム、厚いキーボードを一気に噴出させ、Fukiの高音域と強い言葉を真正面から支える。“Sub-liminal”では複雑なリズムと電子的な質感が絡み、バンドの技巧性を単なる速さではなく、緊張感を作る設計として機能させている。 “HERO”は大きなメロディと前向きな推進力を備え、“世界はきっと愛を知ってるんだ”は親しみやすい歌心の奥に、鍵盤とコーラスの立体的な配置を忍ばせる。終曲“Dragonet”は幻想的な導入からヘヴィな展開へ移り、5人の個性を一つのドラマへ収束させる代表曲だ。TOMO-ZOのギターとF チョッパー KOGAのベースはリフの輪郭を鋭く描き、はなのドラムは変化の多い構成を強靭に推進する。オレオレオナのキーボードは装飾に留まらず、楽曲の空間と色彩を決定し、Fukiはパワー、叙情、語気の強さを自在に切り替える。短い作品ながら情報量は濃密で、DOLL$BOXXが“高性能”という題名を演奏力だけでなく、楽曲の完成度で証明した復活作である。

high $pec is the comeback release DOLL$BOXX delivered five years after the debut, retaining the vivid personality of the original line-up while raising the center of gravity, weight and aggression. “Shout Down” immediately releases cutting guitar, elastic bass, highly detailed drums and dense keyboards, creating a powerful frame for Fuki’s upper-register force and direct vocal phrasing. “Sub-liminal” combines shifting rhythm with electronic texture and shows that the band’s technique is not simply speed; it is a method of controlling tension, space and impact. “HERO” brings a broad melody and positive forward drive, while “世界はきっと愛を知ってるんだ” places an approachable song at the center of layered keyboards and vocal harmonies. The closing “Dragonet” moves from an atmospheric opening into heavy dramatic motion and gathers all five personalities into a single narrative. TOMO-ZO’s guitar and F Chopper KOGA’s bass sharpen the riffs from different angles, Hana’s drumming powers the frequent structural changes, and Oreo Reona’s keyboards determine the scale and color of each section rather than serving as decoration. Fuki moves freely between power, lyricism and verbal attack. Although concise, the record is densely arranged and highly complete.
