Balls to the Wall is the fifth album on which Accept layers thick guitar riffs, Udo Dirkschneider’s rough voice and a marching rhythm. The songs are heavy yet never dull, advancing powerfully and without hesitation on a hard beat and short phrases. It is a signature work that led the band to international success. Above all, the fist-raising sing-along of the title track “Balls to the Wall” symbolizes the fighting spirit running through the album and became the band’s greatest anthem.
