LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
Ain't Misbehavin' is an EP UFO released in Britain in 1988 through FM-Revolver Records. Music Week listed it among the new albums for the week of 28 March to 1 April 1988, under the label name Heavy Metal, as an LP (WKFMLP 107), a cassette (WKFMMC 107) and a CD (WKFMXD 107), distributed through BMG. The LP holds six songs, and the CD adds a seventh, "Lonely Cities (Of the Heart)". It was recorded by Phil Mogg on vocals, Atomik Tommy M on guitar, Paul Gray on bass and Jim Simpson on drums, the Misdemeanor line-up without Paul Raymond, with Atomik Tommy M and Simpson singing the backing vocals. Neil Levine produced it, and the sleeve names the Abattoir and S.S.E. as the studios. Cleopatra Records, which reissued it in 2024, describes it as the last record Mogg and Atomik Tommy M made together, and issued the opening "Between a Rock & a Hard Place" as a digital single to announce that reissue. Founder member Pete Way does not play on it. According to Louder, Way rejoined UFO for a couple of years after his own band Waysted broke up in 1987, and in 1991 he and Mogg put the group back together for good, leading to High Stakes & Dangerous Men in 1992. The EP was also issued in America by Metal Blade in 1989 and in Japan by InsideOut, and Cleopatra's 2024 deluxe edition adds four songs recorded live in Milwaukee in 1986 and an instrumental version of "Between a Rock & a Hard Place", for twelve tracks in all.
