LANGUAGE
Horns and Halos is Michael Monroe's seventh solo album, released by Spinefarm Records / Universal Music Group on 23 August 2013. Victor Entertainment put the Japanese edition out two days ahead of the rest of the world, on 21 August.
It is the first record with Dregen of Backyard Babies, who joined on guitar after Ginger left in the summer of 2011. Dregen plays guitar, sings backing vocals and adds percussion, and the album's logo began as his design. Petri Majuri mixed and Svante Forsback mastered; the sleeve artwork is by Rich Jones, who would not join the band for another two years.
The album went to number one on the Finnish chart and was certified gold four days after release. "Ballad of the Lower East Side" and "Stained Glass Heart" have official music videos. The Japanese edition runs to fifteen tracks, two of them recorded live at V-ROCK FESTIVAL '11.
