Electric Pentagram shows LOVEBITES’ unity as a five-piece through both speed and drama. The accelerating opening of “THUNDER VENGEANCE” and “HOLY WAR” vividly announces the band’s high musicianship and scale. Midori and Miyako’s twin guitars do more than race; they weave classical-flavored melody and detailed harmony around asami’s soaring voice. While it respects power-metal tradition, the album never locks itself into one tempo: the lift of “GOLDEN DESTINATION” and “SET THE WORLD ON FIRE,” the lyricism of “A FROZEN SERENADE” and the weight of “DANCING WITH THE DEVIL” give it a wide range of expression, and the closing epic “SWAN SONG” brings dramatic development and vocal power together. The technical level is clear throughout, but the strongest impression is a direct determination to defend the spirit of heavy metal — a defining record confirming LOVEBITES as a world-class power-metal band.
