Golden Destination

Golden Destination is the first single cut from Electric Pentagram, the third album released a month earlier. It came out on 19 February 2020 as VICL-37525 with four tracks, in the middle of a tour and two days before the Zepp DiverCity Tokyo show. The title track is the British-flavoured heavy metal song that sits third on the album. Two songs here had not been heard anywhere. "Spellbound" puts the keyboards well forward and feels a little apart from what LOVEBITES had done to that point; "Puppet On Strings" holds a heavy low end and a fragile melody in the same song. The fourth track is "Thunder Vengeance", the album's opener, rebuilt with an orchestral arrangement. It is not the original with strings laid over it — the frame of the song is reassembled. The label said plainly that nothing but the title track was planned for streaming, and that is still the case: three of these four songs exist on the CD and nowhere else. In a discography that is otherwise fully available, this is one of the few records that only completes itself as a physical disc.
