Clockwork Immortality

Clockwork Immortality expands the speed-metal and power-metal strengths Lovebites showed on their debut into a larger scale. Midori and Miyako’s twin guitars interlock in detail, while Haruna’s drums and Miho’s bass support the fast material with force. Asami’s voice adds both tension and shine. “Rising” and “Pledge of the Savior” are key examples of the balance between velocity and drama. Acoustic color and a ballad appear as well, but the album’s core never wavers. It feels like a Japanese traditional-metal band accelerating toward an international audience.
