Coup de Grace is the comeback album on which Treat powerfully regained the sophistication and intensity of Nordic melodic rock. It is a long-awaited studio album, coming a full eighteen years after the 1993 breakup. The reunion came about following the favorable reception of the 2006 compilation Weapons of Choice, and original vocalist Robert Ernlund returned. Powerful songs like "Roar," "Papertiger" and "The War Is Over" line up. To their old flamboyant melodies, a modern, powerful production was added, delivering a mature sound. It is a record praised by many fans as one of the finest in the band's history. Released on Frontiers Records with Nalle Påhlsson on bass, the track 'Roar' also became known in unexpected ways, used in a video game and at an esports tournament. Its success sent them out on their first full-scale world tour since the 1980s. A powerful work announcing a magnificent comeback.
