Tell No Tales is the album on which TNT polished its hard-rock momentum with bright, soaring vocals and distinctive guitar phrasing, establishing an international reputation. Tony Harnell’s high register lifts the songs lightly, and Ronni Le Tekrø’s guitar stays technical without losing its sense of melody. Developing the melodic-metal direction of the previous album into a poppier, more refined form, it is a record on which the band’s identity fully bloomed.
