Play to Win

『Play to Win』は、2018年10月26日に自主レーベルから出た第6作である。自主制作のまま、この盤はJUNO賞のメタル/ハード・ミュージック・アルバム部門にノミネートされた。カナダにおけるグラミーに相当する賞である。 評価は明快だった。ヘヴィ・ミュージックHQは「『City of Gold』以来の最高作」と書き、ストレートなハード・ロックとメタルのファンは全員持つべきだと結んだ。ニュー・ノイズ誌は「今年これより耳に残る上等なチェダーを探すのは難しい」と評している。ドッケンからメタリカまでの影響が聴き取れる、というのが各誌に共通した言い方だった。

Play to Win, the sixth album, was released by their own label on 26 October 2018. Self-released as it was, it was nominated for the JUNO Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year — the Canadian equivalent of a Grammy. The verdict was unambiguous. Heavy Music HQ called it their best record since City of Gold and concluded that every fan of straight-up hard rock and metal needed to own it. New Noise wrote that you would be hard-pressed to find a catchier slice of fine cheddar that year. That you can hear anything from Dokken to Metallica in it was the common formulation.
