Armed to the Teeth

『Armed to the Teeth』は、2012年にナパーム・レコーズから出た第2作である。デビュー作をドイツの小レーベルから出した3人組ならぬ5人組が、ここでヨーロッパの大手メタル・レーベルへ移った。同じ2012年、ナパームは『Eyes in the Night』とEP『Road Warrior』を1枚にまとめた編集盤も出している。 以後この時期の彼らは、機材ではなく人選で音を作る。マイケル・ワグナー、フレドリック・ノルドストレム、ヘンリク・ウッドといった名前がキャリアのどこかで関わっており、スキッド・ロウやドッケンから、アット・ザ・ゲイツやアーキテクツまでを手がけた人々である。結果としての高解像度の音は、ディサイベルやメタル・ハンマー、クラシック・ロックの各誌から好意的な反応を引き出した。

Armed to the Teeth, the second album, came out in 2012 on Napalm Records — a move from the small German label that issued the debut to one of Europe's major metal labels. The same year, Napalm also put out a compilation pairing Eyes in the Night with the Road Warrior EP on one disc. From around this period the band built their sound through who they hired rather than what they bought. Michael Wagener, Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd all appear somewhere in their history — the men behind records by Skid Row and Dokken at one end, At the Gates and Architects at the other. The high-fidelity result drew warm notices from Decibel, Metal Hammer and Classic Rock.
