LANGUAGE
『The Atlantic Years 1984-1990』は、RATT（ラット）がアトランティックに残した5作をまとめた、チェリー・レッド傘下のHNE RecordingsによるCD5枚組のクラムシェル・ボックス。1984年の『Out of the Cellar』、1985年の『Invasion of Your Privacy』、1986年の『Dancing Undercover』、1988年の『Reach for the Sky』、1990年の『Detonator』の5作に、ボーナス・トラックを加える。アメリカの販売元MVDのページによれば2020年3月27日発売で、2025年6月には同じ品番とバーコードのまま再プレスされている。
ボーナス・トラックは「Round and Round」「What You Give Is What You Get」「Dance」のシングル・エディット、『MTV Unplugged』での「Way Cool Jr.」、「Lovin' You's a Dirty Job」のRatt Fonicミックス2種、映画『ハートブルー』のサウンドトラックに入った「Nobody Rides for Free」の計7曲。レーベルによれば、1984年にアトランティックと契約して出した『Out of the Cellar』はトリプル・プラチナになり、「Round and Round」と「Back for More」のビデオはMTVで頻繁に流れた。『Reach for the Sky』はボー・ヒルがプロデュースした最後の作品で、『Detonator』はアトランティック最後の、そして黄金期のラインナップによる最後のアルバムになり、ジョン・ボン・ジョヴィが「Heads I Win, Tails You Lose」のバッキング・ヴォーカルで参加している。全58曲。
