『A New World Rising』は、RAGEがジャーマン・パワー・メタルの直線的な推進力と、スラッシュ由来の硬いリフを軸に、2025年の作品として磨き上げたアルバムだ。ドラムとギターは鋭く前へ出るが、メロディにはRAGEらしい哀愁と親しみやすさが確かに息づいている。長い歴史を背負いながらも、今なお前進を続ける姿勢が全編に表れている。 表題曲“A New World Rising”や“Innovation”“Freedom”のように力強く疾走する曲では、歌がリフの上を走り、世界が立ち上がるようなタイトルのイメージを音へと変えていく。“Cross The Line”“Paradigm Change”のように重心を落とした曲やドラマティックな展開が配置され、アルバム全体の流れを支えている。 勢いに任せるだけでなく、ベースやギターの細かな動きが曲の表情を変える瞬間にこそ、ベテランならではの妙がある。過去曲を現在の音で再構築した“Straight To Hell '25”も、バンドの歩みと現在地を結ぶ象徴的な一曲だ。“Fire In Your Eyes”“Next Generation”のような曲に宿る力強い高揚感も、バンドの衰えない熱量を伝えている。長いキャリアを持つバンドが、今なお前へ進む意志を明快に示した欧州メタル作品である。

A New World Rising is a 2025 album RAGE has honed around the linear drive of German power metal and hard, thrash-derived riffs. Drums and guitars push sharply forward, yet the band’s characteristic melancholy and accessibility breathe clearly in the melodies. A stance of still moving forward, even while carrying a long history, shows across the record. In powerful speeders such as the title track “A New World Rising,” “Innovation” and “Freedom,” the vocal runs above the riffs, turning the title’s image of a world rising into sound, while lower-centered, dramatic cuts like “Cross The Line” and “Paradigm Change” support the flow of the whole album. Beyond momentum, the veterans’ deftness lies in the moments where small movements of bass and guitar shift a song’s expression. “Straight To Hell ’25,” an older song rebuilt in the present sound, is a symbolic track linking the band’s path to its present — a European-metal record that clearly shows a long-running band still willing to move ahead.
