The Long Road

The Long Road is a work on which NICKELBACK, using distorted guitar, heavy beats and Chad Kroeger’s rough singing, made linear rock. While the songs have roughness, strong melody is placed in the choruses, making a scale that resounds even in large venues. It is a record that splendidly answered the expectations after a mega-hit. On “Someday,” “Figured You Out” and “Feelin' Way Too Damn Good,” by moving between hardness and sentiment, a realistic weight is born in the album. In particular, “Someday” became a big hit. Songs like “Because of You” and “See You at the Show” breathe the band’s full playing too. It makes the previous album’s success even more solid. It is an important record that supported 2000s mainstream rock.
