The Long Road is a work on which NICKELBACK, using distorted guitar, heavy beats and Chad Kroeger’s rough singing, made linear rock. While the songs have roughness, strong melody is placed in the choruses, making a scale that resounds even in large venues. It is a record that splendidly answered the expectations after a mega-hit.
On “Someday,” “Figured You Out” and “Feelin' Way Too Damn Good,” by moving between hardness and sentiment, a realistic weight is born in the album. In particular, “Someday” became a big hit. Songs like “Because of You” and “See You at the Show” breathe the band’s full playing too. It makes the previous album’s success even more solid.
