Reincarnation is an extremely important work on which Galneryus unites sharp guitar, splendid keyboards and overwhelming high-range vocals. From this work, the renowned singer Masatoshi Ono, boasting an astonishing vocal range, joined as the new vocalist, and the band entered a new golden age. His all-too-powerful, soaring voice binds with Syu’s neoclassical guitar, heightening the songs’ drama as much as possible. A record inscribing the great turning point of a vocalist change. From the beautiful Japanese-lyric ballad opener “Owarinaki Konouta” and the speeding “Blast of Hell” to a cut like “Blame Yourself,” every song is engaging, while cuts like “Shining Moments” and “Against the Domination” convey the work’s fullness.
