Inside Information is the sixth album, on which Foreigner balanced powerful rock and delicate ballads within a polished 1980s sound. Centered on the golden pairing of Mick Jones and Lou Gramm, it was made with refined production. The color of the keyboards and the thickness of the choruses give the songs glamour and depth. On songs like "Say You Will" and "I Don't Want to Live Without You," big melody and Gramm's soaring voice unite. The former, an uptempo rocker, and the latter, an emotive ballad, both scored hits. Including hard-edged songs like "Heart Turns to Stone," the band's pop constructive power is displayed throughout.
