Theater of Salvation is a work on which EDGUY combined driving metal momentum with dramatic development, keyboard color and thick choruses. Even short songs evoke a narrative quality, and in the long songs the scenes change like a stage. In the wake of the previous album’s success, the band steps into a grander, more intricate expression. On “Babylon,” “The Headless Game” and “Arrows Fly,” youthful energy and intricate construction balance, and the album has a great sense of ascent. In particular, the over-thirteen-minute epic “Theater of Salvation” is a song that symbolizes the band’s ambition. Songs like “The Healing Vision” and “Holy Shadows” breathe the band’s full expressiveness too. Packing the essence of melodic power metal, it is a record showing one summit of early EDGUY.
