Solitaire is a work on which EDENBRIDGE bound symphonic expanse, clear vocals and power-metal drive. Even within the weighty arrangement there is soft melody, moving the songs forward without harming the fantastical air. The band’s signature grace and strength harmonize at a high level. On “Solitaire,” “Higher,” “Out of This World” and “Brothers on Diamir,” orchestral color and metal outline melt together naturally. Songs like “Skyline's End” and “Come Undone” breathe the band’s firm melodic sense too. The construction that begins with “Entree Unique” and ends with “Exit Unique” hints at a unity as a work. Combining a beautiful soundscape and firm playing, it is a full record for fully savoring the appeal of symphonic metal.
