After Rain

結成30周年を迎えたBLINDMANが、2025年9月24日に発表した12作目のフル・アルバム。ミニ・アルバム『OUTBURST』から2年、フル・アルバムとしては『EXPANSION』以来約5年ぶりとなる作品で、オリジナル・メンバーの遠藤均（Key）が復帰した編成で制作された。 中村達也の感情を押し出すギターを軸に、Rayの歌声、堅固なリズム隊、そして鍵盤が加える奥行きが、メロディアス・ハードの芯を太く描く。幕開けの「Spreading Out the Wings」から「Groove the Night」「Soul Stealer」へと進む流れには推進力があり、一方でタイトル曲「After Rain」や「Love So Blue」では、陰影を含んだ歌メロの強さが印象を残す。 タイトルが示すのは、嵐の後に訪れる静けさだけではない。長い活動の積み重ねを力に変え、攻撃性と哀感、洗練と熱量を同時に鳴らすことで、BLINDMANがいまも進化の途上にあることを証明した一枚である。

Released on September 24, 2025, After Rain is BLINDMAN’s twelfth full-length album, issued in the band’s thirtieth-anniversary year. It follows the OUTBURST mini-album by two years and is the group’s first full studio album in about five years, since EXPANSION. The record was made with original member Hitoshi Endo back on keyboards. Tatsuya Nakamura’s emotionally charged guitar work forms the core, with Ray’s vocals, a solid rhythm section, and the added depth of keyboards giving melodic hard rock a stronger spine. The sequence from opener “Spreading Out the Wings” through “Groove the Night” and “Soul Stealer” has real momentum, while the title track and “Love So Blue” leave a lasting mark through their shadowed, melodic contours. The title suggests more than the calm that arrives after a storm. By turning the weight of a long career into momentum—and sounding aggression and melancholy, polish and heat at once—the album shows that BLINDMAN is still in the midst of its evolution.
