『WORLD DOMINATION』は、BAND-MAIDの名を世界へ広げるという意志を、タイトルから明確に掲げたアルバムだ。“I can't live without you.”から“Play”“DOMINATION”へと続く序盤は、バンドの攻撃性とライブ感を一気に提示する。硬いリフ、跳ねるベース、前へ出るドラムが曲を押し上げ、SAIKIの歌は鋭さとキャッチーさを両立させる。 “FATE”“Spirit!!”“CLANG”のように勢いを重視した曲がある一方、“Daydreaming”“anemone”ではメロディアスな側面を丁寧に描き、単なる勢い任せの作品には終わらせない。“Alive-or-Dead”“DICE”“ハニー”まで、テンポと表情を細かく切り替える構成が、アルバムの緊張感を最後まで保つ。KANAMIのギターとMISAのベース、AKANEのドラムが密度高く絡み合う。 ハードロック、J-ROCK、そしてメタル的な緊張感をひとつに束ねた本作は、BAND-MAIDのディスコグラフィにおける明確な転機となった。演奏力と楽曲の強さで海外の評価を大きく押し上げ、以降の世界的な躍進を予感させる、決定打とも言える一枚である。

The opening run from “I can’t live without you.” through “Play” and “DOMINATION” presents the band’s attack and live energy with confidence. Hard riffs, bouncing bass and forward-driving drums lift the songs, while SAIKI’s vocals balance sharpness with memorable hooks. Cuts built on momentum such as “FATE,” “Spirit!!” and “CLANG” sit beside “Daydreaming” and “anemone,” which carefully draw out the band’s melodic side so the album is never a mere rush of speed.
