『Unseen World』は、BAND-MAIDがハードロック・バンドとしての強度を一段引き上げた作品だ。“Warning!”の爆発力で幕を開け、“NO GOD”“After Life”へと進む序盤には、速さ、重さ、そして歌の抜けの良さが同時に存在する。リズムの仕掛けは細かいが、曲の芯がぶれない点が、このアルバム最大の魅力である。 “Manners”“Giovanni”では、バンドが持つクラシックなロック感覚とモダンなプロダクション、プログレッシブな展開が交差する。“サヨナキドリ -Nightingale”や“本懐 -Ambition”のように日本語詞と情感を活かした曲、“CHEMICAL REACTION”“BLACK HOLE”のように攻撃性を突き詰めた曲が並び、収録曲の振れ幅は大きい。“without holding back”まで、緩急を保ったまま一気に聴かせる。 各メンバーのプレイは派手でありながら、全体としては一つの推進力へと収束していく。KANAMI、MISA、AKANEの演奏とSAIKIの歌、Miku Kobatoのコーラスが噛み合い、海外リスナーにBAND-MAIDの本質を強く印象づけた重要作となった。

Unseen World raises BAND-MAID’s intensity as a hard-rock band. From the explosive opening of “Warning!” through “NO GOD” and “After Life,” the album combines speed, weight and vocal clarity at once. The arrangements are full of rhythmic detail, yet the songs remain focused and memorable, which is the record’s greatest appeal. “Manners” and “Giovanni” let classic rock instincts, modern production and progressive turns intersect. Japanese-language, emotion-driven pieces such as “SAYONAKIDORI -Nightingale” and “HONKAI -Ambition” sit beside the sheer aggression of “CHEMICAL REACTION” and “BLACK HOLE,” giving the track list a wide swing that carries through to “without holding back.” Every player is active, but the performances converge into forward motion rather than excess. KANAMI, MISA and AKANE lock in with SAIKI’s vocals and Miku Kobato’s harmonies, making this a key statement of what BAND-MAID can do for listeners abroad.
