Divinity

『Divinity』は、2004年5月24日に出た第2作である。歌い手が替わった。ヨウニ・ニクラに代わってタアゲ・ライホが入り、彼はここから2006年まで、そして2019年の再結成以降も務めることになる。ヤニ・リーマタイネンとエンプ・ヴオリネンのギターは健在で、この編成が後年「最も成功したラインナップ」と呼ばれるものである。 冒頭の“Unchain the Rain”がこのバンドの代表曲になった。YouTubeで120万回を超え、2019年に彼らが墓場から蘇ってリーパー・エンターテインメントと組んだとき、最初に切られたシングルもこの曲だった。本作自体もリマスターされ、CDとデジタル、そして初のヴァイナルで再発されている。カルト・アルバムという扱われ方が、そのまま復活の足掛かりになった形だ。ボーナス・トラックにはアクセプトの“Balls to the Wall”と、カコフォニーの“Stranger”という2つのカヴァーが入っている。

Divinity is the second album, released on 24 May 2004. The singer had changed: Taage Laiho came in for Jouni Nikula, and he would hold the job until 2006 and again from the 2019 reunion. Jani Liimatainen and Emppu Vuorinen were still on guitars, and this is the line-up later described as the band's most successful. The opener, "Unchain the Rain," became their signature song. It has passed 1.2 million views on YouTube, and when they rose from the grave in 2019 and signed with Reaper Entertainment, it was the first single they cut. The album itself was remastered and reissued on CD, digitally, and on vinyl for the first time — its standing as a cult record turned out to be the foothold for the comeback. The bonus tracks are two covers: Accept's "Balls to the Wall" and Cacophony's "Stranger."
