Live at Wembley 1995

Live at Wembley 1995 is a live album issued by Rhino on 9 January 2026. The Japanese pressing is WPCR-18797, a single CD of eight songs running about forty-two minutes, and it documents Wembley Stadium, London, on 24 June 1995 — the first time this recording has been released officially. Van Halen spent 1995 on the road behind Balance, released that January and the last studio album made with Sammy Hagar singing. The four-piece heard here is that band: Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Michael Anthony and Hagar. The set opens with Balance's own first song, 'The Seventh Seal', keeps to the new album for "Feelin'", then reaches back to the 1978 debut for "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love". A guitar solo occupies the middle. After it come the Kinks cover 'You Really Got Me', "When It's Love" and 'Jump', and the night closes on 'Right Now'. Eight songs and forty-two minutes make plain that this was not a full headline set. Being short is what makes the selection legible. Two songs from the new record, three from the Roth years and three from the Hagar years: only the material that represents both eras survives the cut. It is a clear record of what the band chose to put in front of a stadium.
