In God We Trust

In God We Trust is the fourth album, released on 28 June 1988. The RIAA certified it Gold that September, on the 15th, with Enigma as the label of record. It entered the Billboard 200 on 16 July 1988 and peaked at No. 32 just one week later, on 23 July, staying twenty-five weeks — the same peak as the album before it, reached far more quickly. The scale of the work had changed completely by this point. By Michael Sweet's account the band was now spending six months and six hundred thousand dollars on a record, against the two weeks and twenty to thirty thousand that produced the 1984 EP.
