SKID ROW's RACHEL BOLAN Offers An Update On The Band's Search For A New Singer: Around 300 Submissions Watched So Far

Speaking on the Groove - The No Treble podcast, bassist Rachel Bolan discussed the worldwide search the band launched in partnership with instrument retailer Sweetwater. He said they have watched around 300 submissions, with roughly 20 more arriving outside the campaign. "What we do is we'll get four or five people through these submissions, and, all right, send them the clean tracks, and they'll sing on top of them and send them back... Let's get a few of them together, get them into New Jersey. We'll get in a room over the course of a week or whatever, and we will just see if it works, see if it works in a live situation." He added that singing perfectly in a studio does not always transfer to the stage, and said the difference this time is that the band has "the luxury of time".

The set also includes the Skid Row songs "I Remember You" and "Youth Gone Wild", and Bach says every song is played in its original key.
