40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row (2026 Remaster)

On the 2026 sleeve the word "seasons" is struck through and "YEARS" is written in by hand above it, and some shops, Tower Records among them, list this reissue as 40 Years: The Best of Skid Row. The title is still the one SKID ROW gave the compilation in 1998, 40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row, newly remastered for the 40th anniversary of the band's formation. The running order is the 1998 one. The first nine tracks come from Skid Row (1989) and Slave to the Grind (1991). Subhuman Race (1995) is represented only by remixes of "Into Another", "My Enemy" and "Breakin' Down", a 1994 demo of "Frozen" and a live "Beat Yourself Blind" recorded at the Astoria in London in 1995. The last two tracks are the songs the compilation first brought out in 1998: "Forever", from the 1988 sessions for the debut, and the 1991 demo of "Fire in the Hole". In Japan the 1998 edition came out in May 1998 (AMCY-2620) with "Psycho Therapy" added as a bonus track. The remaster comes from BMG working with Rhino Entertainment, on CD and as a double LP in translucent blue, which the band announced as the compilation's first time on vinyl; the dates are 6 November 2026 in the US and 4 December 2026 elsewhere.
