The Gang's All Here is the sixth album, on which SKID ROW again brought its streetwise feel and aggression to the front, welcoming new vocalist Erik Grönwall. With the lineup of Grönwall (vocals), Dave "Snake" Sabo and Scotti Hill (guitar), Rachel Bolan (bass) and Rob Hammersmith (drums), Nick Raskulinecz produced. As their first studio album in about 16 years, it sounds the energy of the late 1980s with contemporary playing.
The drive of the opener "Hell or High Water" and the momentum of the title track convey the exhilaration of a restarted band. Thick riffs and soaring high notes mesh on songs like "Time Bomb" and "Tear It Down" too. Ex-H.E.A.T's Grönwall grasped this major role after a battle with leukemia. Not merely tracing the past, it uses the momentum of the songs themselves as a weapon — a powerful restart highly praised by critics too.
