LINER NOTES
LANGUAGE
It was recorded at The House of Rock and Metalworks in Seattle with Kelly Gray producing. It is the first album with Steve Smyth, formerly of Testament, as second guitarist, and at nine songs and forty minutes forty-nine it is a short record by this band's standards. The thin, distorted sound it was released with drew enough criticism that Andy Sneap remixed and remastered the whole album in 2005. That 2005 version is the only one Spotify carries; the original 2003 mix is not on the service at all, so the player on this page is the remix rather than the record as it was first published. The worms on the sleeve illustrate a line from the title track — "Open wide and eat the worms of the enemy" — and the other images in the booklet are taken from the lyrics in the same way. The Japanese edition came out on 22 October 2003 (CRCL-4575). The running order here is the original's as printed.
