JEALOUSY

Jealousy is a six-track mini-album released only in Japan on 25 May 1988. It was made for listeners at home after a long stretch of activity aimed at the American market, and some of its lyrics are in Japanese. It turned out to be the last recording by the founding line-up of Akira Takasaki, Minoru Niihara, Masayoshi Yamashita and Munetaka Higuchi: at the end of the domestic tour supporting it, in December 1988, Niihara announced he was leaving. Those four would not record together again until Spiritual Canoe in 2001. "Long Distance Love" from this release was later rebuilt for On the Prowl with Mike Vescera singing. A thirtieth-anniversary edition was assembled in 2018.
