HURRICANE EYES (Japanese Version)

Hurricane Eyes (Japanese Version) is the home-market edition of the album released internationally that August, issued on 10 December 1987. The songs are those of the international edition, but Minoru Niihara re-recorded most of the vocals with Japanese lyrics. Having just reached a worldwide audience, the band turned back to prepare a record specifically for listeners in Japan: Eddie Kramer's production intact, only the language of the singing exchanged. The method had been used once before, on Disillusion in 1984, and would return with Racing across 2004 and 2005. It reflects a choice particular to this band — to give up neither the English lyrics for abroad nor the Japanese ones for home.
