Hurricane Eyes is the seventh Loudness album, released worldwide with English lyrics on 10 August 1987.
Eddie Kramer produced. Known for his work with the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix and Kiss, his arrival marked a full change of production team after three albums with Max Norman.
The record carries "S.D.I.", "This Lonely Heart" and "Rock 'N Roll Gypsy", and reached No. 190 in the United States. On 10 December that year a Japanese version appeared for the home market, with Minoru Niihara re-singing most of the lyrics in Japanese — so that, as with Disillusion, one album came to exist in two languages.
