Steel Burner

Steel Burner, released on 24 April 2026, is Gus G.'s fifth solo album and his first in about five years, since Quantum Leap in 2021. King Records issued the Japanese edition on 22 May. He composed every piece and produced the record himself, and Dennis Ward of Pink Cream 69 mixed and mastered it. It is built in two halves that alternate: guitar instrumentals, and songs with guest singers. Doro Pesch sings "Nothing Can Break Me", Matt Barlow "Dancing With Death", Ronnie Romero "Frenemy" and "My Premonition", and Dino Jelusick "No One Has to Know". King Records' credits list Gus G. himself on guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. The title track has a precise origin, which he explained under its official video: it began as a commission from a company that builds industrial machines for shaping metal, and one of that company's machines was called the Steel Burner. The energy of the piece he wrote for them became the idea behind the whole album, and its name. The record was trailed well ahead of release — "Advent" came out as a single in May 2025 and "My Premonition", with Ronnie Romero, in June — and videos kept coming through 2026 for the title track, "Nothing Can Break Me", "Dancing With Death" and "Confession". The Japanese edition adds a radio edit of "Dancing With Death" as an eleventh track.
