Steel Burning Live

Steel Burning Live is a six-track EP that King Records releases in Japan only on 7 October 2026, catalogue number KICP-4123. It was put together as a souvenir of Gus G.'s visit for FULL METAL JAPAN 2026, where he and Ronnie Romero play the first day at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama on 24 October. The first four tracks come from his set at Rock Hard Festival 2026 in Germany. Three of them — "Steel Burner", "Frenemy" and "My Premonition" — are from the solo album Steel Burner released the same spring; the fourth, "Force Majeure", first appeared in 2018 as a single with Vinnie Moore and later closed the album Quantum Leap. The other two are studio covers. Ronnie Romero sings Black Sabbath's "The Mob Rules", and Iron Maiden's "Murders in the Rue Morgue" has Nicklas Sonne on vocals and a guitar solo from SAKI, the Japanese guitarist whose own King Records album PLUVIA, released that June, has Gus G. playing the solo on "Flores a Flores". The two guitarists appear on each other's records within a few months. King Records credits the recordings to Gus G. on guitar, Ronnie Romero on vocals, Andrea Arcangeli on bass and Johan Nunez on drums. Gus G. and Romero toured Europe together in 2025 as the Convergence European Tour, and they play FULL METAL JAPAN under the same joint billing: Gus G. & Ronnie Romero.
