『Live & Learn』は、VIXENが大きなコーラスと明快なギターを取り戻した2006年11月6日発表の第4作だ。前作とは対照的に、ここでオリジナル・メンバーはジャン・キューネマンド一人であり、2001年のヴォイセズ・オブ・メタル・ツアー中に彼女が集めたジェナ・サンズ=アヘロ(ヴォーカル)、リン・ルイーズ・ラウリー(ベース)、キャスリン・クラフト(ドラム)が支える。キューネマンドが参加したスタジオ作としては『Rev It Up』以来16年ぶりで、結果的に彼女の最後の一枚となった。 プロデュースとエンジニア、ミックスはデニス・マッケイ。『Rev It Up』でエンジニアを務めた人物である。カリフォルニア州イーグルロックのブルドッグ・デンで2005年から翌年5月まで録音された。新曲11曲に加え、11曲目にはデヴィッド・ボウイの“Suffragette City”のカヴァーを収め、ポーリー・セラのサックスが彩る。締めの“Give Me Away”ではロバート・リアのバグパイプが鳴る。“I Try”はインディペンデント・ミュージック・アワードのヴォックス・ポップ投票で最優秀ハード・ロック/メタル曲に選ばれた。キューネマンドは2013年10月10日、59歳で世を去っている。

Live & Learn is the fourth album, released on 6 November 2006, on which Vixen took back big choruses and clear guitars. In contrast to its predecessor, the only original member here is Jan Kuehnemund, supported by Jenna Sanz-Agero (vocals), Lynn Louise Lowrey (bass) and Kathrin Kraft (drums), whom she had gathered during the 2001 Voices of Metal tour. It was the first studio album with Kuehnemund since Rev It Up, sixteen years earlier — and it turned out to be her last. Dennis MacKay produced, engineered and mixed; he had been the engineer on Rev It Up. It was recorded at the Bull Dog Den in Eagle Rock, California, from 2005 to May of the following year. Eleven new songs are joined at track eleven by a cover of David Bowie's “Suffragette City,” coloured by Paulie Cerra's saxophone, and the closing “Give Me Away” rings with Robert Lear's bagpipes. “I Try” won Best Hard Rock/Metal Song in the Independent Music Awards' Vox Pop vote. Kuehnemund died on 10 October 2013, aged 59.
